**""Unable to cast COM"" error in something other than Sage 100 or Sage Fixed Assets (v2018 with Crystal 2016)** Has anyone had to address the ""Unable to cast COM"" error in other applications? Upon trying to generate reports in Edisoft (which uses Crystal runtime), we're getting the ""Unable to cast COM..."" error.

We re-ran the v2016 workstation setup but to no avail.

Not 100% but would this resolve with a Crystal Runtime patch?

Considered that and I believe the Edisoft folks tried, but no-go.

Fyi, Edisoft has confirmed in their test environment that the presence of the new version of Crystal Reports does result in the error. They are reviewing it now to see what changes are required.

This was the original error we ran into after installing Sage Fixed Assets 2018.1 which made the existing Crystal incompatible with Sage 100 reports. Sounds like something similar for your issue.
