Sage 100

I have a client who upgraded this week from Sage 100 206 to Sage 100 2023 Advanced.

In 2016 they were able to successfully use UDFs in the subject line of emails sending out sales order invoices.  This was the subject in Electronic Delivery Maintenance:

Attached is the <Document> for <BillToName> dated <DocumentDate>.<CustomerPO> <udf_unit><udf_service>

In 2023 when I try to add [udf_unit} to the subject line, the subject line includes the literal text [udf_unit] rather than treating it as a merge field.  Anyone successfully used UDF's in Electronic Delivery Maintenance in Sage 100 2023?

It sounds like the SY_Token table was modified on the prior version.  See if you can get a copy of it and open it with DFDM or query it with Crystal Reports and see if you see any records where the ReturnExpression column includes the UDF/s you are after.  Another possibility is that they had this enhancement, Paperless Merge Fields [Documentation] (mbabsi.com), on the prior version.
