  • 1.  UDF does not show under selections section of the report

    I have a UDF that I would like to show up in the selection sections of the "open orders by item report" under SO module. I have checked and rechecked my mapping of the UDF mapping.
    Here is my mapping in business objects: Created on SO_SalesOrderDetail, added to SO_SalesOrderWork, added to SO_OpenOrdersWork and then added to SO_OpenOrdersByItemWork. I do not have the box checked on the UDF in custom office to exclude from report selection. I can see the UDF on the work table in crystal reports. What am I missing for it not to display below or is this not possible?

    I just tried it on a 2020 Premium installation and got the same results on the Open Orders reports, but the Back Order report does have it in the selection list...

    Hi Shannon,

    Do you ever stop working?  If you saw my prior answer it is actually wrong.  The shame.  Anyways, I just tried the same thing but I put a UDF on SO_SalesOrderDetail and another one on SO_SalesOrderHeader.  Although that report allows me to add the UDF to the WRK table from both locations it never ends up in Selections.   I tried to source from multiple tables and none of them pass the data to the Selections section of the report.  Your going to need to use a Parameter within the Crystal Report so the user can make selections for the UDF field during print.    Don't you love the consistency of how the program works?   Sheesh.   Keeps us employed though. :)
