Trying to install the 2012 IRD on a 90v4.4.4 system. I encounter a failure to complete the AP post installation merge and subsequently, an error message while trying to test update the invoice register. I did not do this at the server as it was not 2013. Any quick thought before I breakdown and call support. Not my day!!!!!

Have you tried rerunning the IRD? Not with this IRD specifically but I have seen instances in the past where the merge failed the first time around and succeeded when the update was run again.

@PhilMcIntosh - Tried the install three times. @ThereseLogeais - How do you find these???? Unfortunately, while it had my heart racing, once again, it was broken as it failed the post merge process. I think I will try from the server next.....

This is from the old KB and it is saying to do it from the server.

Except when I put in the old KB ID. Gotta love it...

Jeff, I have done a few of these this last week, most of the installs I have done have been at the workstation down to the server and the workstations have been Windows 7, I have ran the IRD a TTU as Administrator.

I used ""post-installation failed to merge the accounts payable updates"" and it was the second entry that came up. And yes, you have to say it nicely!!

This client has eRequester but they aren't supposed to be touching the tables........ @ThereseLogeais - I am ALWAYS nice to the KB gods.........

Still hot on the case. I love the way they don't ask any questions. Instead they spend 3 minutes trying to figure it out. All they have to do is ask and be done with it....

Tech - Can you restore from a backup? Jeff - You're kidding right? Jeff - What files do you want? Tech - Everything. So what about the half day of processing they've done? OMG...

Well, after an hour, we are restoring............... Now the client's IT guy is out sick.

That answer from support would make me sick too...

Feedback from Sage Technical Support - Only three days. Not too bad. And the resolution was.... Drum Roll Please............. Create a new folder with a name of INSTALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Works like a charm! Now the bigger question to ponder is why the programmer simply couldn't insert a line of code to check for the existence of the install folder and if one didn't exist, simply create it????????
