Trying to do a reinstall of CRM and it comes up with ""Setup is now registering the CRM files"" and just hangs there. Task manager shows no activity.

Saw the same thing yesterday. Eventually I had to kill the setup process, and start again. The second time it worked without issue.

I also killed it and started again and same issue. But then I killed it and manually registered the eware.dll and was able to log in to CRM. Everything appears to work except the interactive dashboard.

Ahh the interactive dashboard... Have you installed an older version of Java?

I didn't impact any version of Java. It seems like the interactive dashboard is problematic.

It always is for me. I don't know of a single CRM install where the dashboard has worked without at least some voodoo.

Well I just need the right voodoo I guess. What voodoo do you do? :)

Here are a bunch of things that have solved my problems with the interactive dashboards (this assumes that you've done everything that Sage tells you to do in their knowledgebase and on the CRM community. 1. Restart tomcat server 2. IIS Reset 3. Check permissions on the CRM folders and the applications, change permission, IISReset and restart tomcat. 4. Remove java from the machine, reboot and install an older version of Java. IISReset and restart tomcat. 5. Reinstall CRM with the IIS Aliases option checked. 5. Remove java from the machine, reboot and reinstall CRM and let it install it's own Java. IISReset and restart tomcat. 6. See 5, except change the install location of Java to a non-standard location (ie not Program Files) 7. Prayer I hope one of those is helpful for you. :)
