​​It's not just semantics. There can only be one "EDI solution exclusively endorsed and distributed by Sage." TrueCommerce has terminated the endorsed partnership, ending 4/9/2019. This was directly from TrueCommerce and includes all ERP packages (and apparently it's not a secret). This has been rumored for literally years, and some at Sage have implied it for the last year. Of course, Sage won't say anything yet, because as soon as it is effective, they lose out on that revenue, and Mapadoc takes over as the exclusive offering. They also want their fees for Summit in San Diego - TrueCommerce will still be exhibiting there.

The only loss for partners that prefer working with TrueCommerce is the tier credit. They will still be a Sage development partner, so the integrations will continue to be offered, supported and expanded upon. They will process orders direct, and it's possible margins may be increased (my opinion only). Finally, they will be able to sell to customers who are not active on Sage Business Care, which they could not do in the past. So if you like/need those large tier postings and like TrueCommerce, this is the quarter to sell it.

There's probably a couple things at play here. First, I hear more ISV's are questioning what they are getting for their fee split so this might not be the last one we see leave the fold and second, it seems that True Commerce may offer other non-EDI solutions such as eCommerce and maybe ( just speculating ) didn't want to give up any more fee split that necessary for add-ons.

Maybe the allure of being on the price list is starting to fade for some of these ISVs. I know it did for V-Technologies years ago and that's probably increased their bottom line significantly.
