Troubleshooting speed issues running V2017 ADV - Does anyone have a checklist that is used to troubleshoot server speed issues while running ADV? I moved a client from STD to ADV this past summer with the promise that response time would improve for them. It hasn't. Even for my connection (running the workstation AT the server, I think molasses in January runs faster. IT claims the (VM) server (2012R2) specs exceed the last SPM, they claim AV is not scanning the Sage folders, they claim everything is running fine. But yet, response time still sucks. Response time that should be scant seconds takes much longer. Very frustrating! TIA

When you review task manager and resources and click the all users checkbox, are there plenty of resources (CPU, Memory, Etc)?

I had a similar situation and found orphaned tasks hogging all of the cpu time. They were programs run by the outside IT company that never terminated. I seem to remember they were Teamviewer sessions... like 10 of them.

Here is the information regarding addressing slow performance with Sage 100 that I typically provide to clients. See the attached notes/doc and Sage KB articles, and specifically make sure that wireless isn't enabled on the workstations that are hard-wired to the network (plus it's not recommended that Sage 100 be accessed via wireless). Also, one of the first things to try is completely temporarily disabling antivirus at the server and workstations, just to see if that has any impact. Additionally, if you haven't already, determine if the issue is at the workstation level and/or the connectivity to the network/server, or the server itself - and whether all Sage 100 workstations are experiencing the same performance.
