  • 1.  Tracking Production Requests from a warehouse

    Our client, using Sage 100 2015 who has multiple locations and one is a fabrication facility (using Production Entry) would like to find a way to allow other locations (sales and warehouses) to make "requests" from the fabrication warehouse and track these requests within Sage as to when they receive or don't receive what they request.

    For example, the GA warehouse sends an Excel spreadsheet to the fabrication production manager and requests 10 parts to be fabricated and transferred to the GA warehouse for sale. Sometimes, the GA warehouse gets what they ask for or a portion. The management team doesn't want to "tell" the fabrication warehouse what/when to produce as they don't want to disrupt the process.  Is there a way to accomplish this within Sage 100?

    If I use MR's I can't complete them because they will not go into inventory in GA.  I will always be deleting the MR's.

    Set up locations with their own "wish list" BoM production batch, without the ability to post.  Have reports based on these batches used by your production location.  They can then move production entries from the "wish list" batches into an active batch for processing / posting.
