Took one call from a v4.30 user asking where they

Took one call from a v4.30 user asking where they could get 3-up 1099-INT forms. I noticed in the IRD for 2013 that Sage changed to two up forms for 1099-INT. I don't know if this is a new IRS requirement. Just an FYI in case you have a similar situations where a user on older version calls wondering. They called Sage forms who said they only send out the 2-up 1099-INT. Have not researched to see if this is a new IRS requirement.

The 2013 IRS form is a 2-up form. I think the 2012 form may have been 3-up.

And if the customer is on 4.3 and therefore no access to IRD they won't be able to print 1099-INT without using Aatrix. BTW I strongly suggest developing a price for this type of assistance ahead of time. Installing Aatrix is fairly simple but you have to go through ""yeah I don't know where that disk is"" and download the CD then install then go through the Aatrix upgrade then go through training the customer. By the time you look at the start to finish effort this could indeed be a 1/2 day project --- for something that we might offer to do for free.

Wayne, I agree about creating a ""project plan"" to install and train users. If you have a user that never used Aatrix before, you will need to follow certain steps - starting with a good backup of SAGE 100 ERP. I plan to contact all my Payroll users and begin the process of installing Aatrix. I figure Aatrix needs to be in place for all Payroll module users by March 31st.

Still looking for an answer on why Aatrix doesn't map to the local withholding tax codes used in Sage 100 payroll!

@alanniergarth - someone posted a number to Aatrix last week, might be worth a shot since no one at Sage will probably give you a straight answer....

IRS.gov website shows one up and two up. Wonder if in 4.3 there is a continuous forms setting. http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1099msc.pdf

I went to efile.aatrix.com today, clicked on the help button, then clicked on the Windows Support button, and started a chat session and got a bunch of questions answered. I was impressed.

Aatrix certainly seems to have their finger on the tax pulse. The big issue is that they have to deal with the Sage interface team.

I have a modified 1099INT form that works fine printing 2 up laser forms with the 2013 IRD as applied to 4.40. I haven't tested it with 4.3 but I don't see why it wouldn't work. If anyone needs it, I can post it up here.

I just did a quick test on the 1099 forms using Aatrix and the form is actually a 4-up form, similar to the W-2's.
