Today I emailed some AR invoices via Paperless Electronic Delivery. Later in the day, I was searching my Sent folder for something unrelated and was surprised to find all the invoices I emailed via Paperless sitting there. I am not cc'ing myself, my email is not in the customer's Paperless setup, and my email address is not even on the emails sent. I am using Office365 to send emails. Is this something new because I've been doing electronic delivery for years and never had this happen. I'm not complaining, it's actually nice to have, just wondering why it started doing it all of a sudden.

I've been seeing this and I believe it goes to the inbox of whomever is authenticating at the SMTP Server. Some customers like it, others don't.

It is a Microsoft change to O365. One workaround is have the sent emails sent to a different folder.

@NancyHanson In my case it's going to my Sent box.... @DougHiggs is there a setting in O365 to set the folder or do you need to make some sort of rule in Outlook?

@KennyDaniel It looks like you have to make a rule in Outlook but I'm not positive. . It looks like it is an internal change from Office 365 described in this KB: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4458479/improvements-in-smtp-authenticated-submission-client-protocol Here is the change: Messages stored in the Sent Items folder Email messages that are sent out will be stored in the Sent Item folder of the mailbox that is used. This behavior lets the user determine which email messages are sent by a multifunction device, and makes it easier to troubleshoot issues. Note Be aware that the Sent Items folder contributes to the mailbox size. If the mailbox gets full, sending email messages will be blocked. For a mailbox that sends a high volume of email messages, the retention policy for the Sent Items folder should be set to empty the folder before the mailbox becomes full. Depending on the application or device that sends email messages, you may experience one of the following errors if the mailbox becomes full:

We just tested with Sage 100 2017 and Office 365. Emails appeared in our Sent Box.

I'm interpreting this to say that whichever account is used to login to O365 mail (as setup in Library Master) is the one that will have the sent emails ?

@NancyHanson for your customers that don't want it in their Sent folder you can setup a direct SMTP server address in Office365 which can then be used in Paperless to send emails. This bypasses user authentications or the need to enter a user name and password in company maintenance. It is basically the trusted IP address of the server initiating the emails. @DougHiggs Didnt find anything in O365 as to a folder redirection. I set up a rule that moves the sent emails to a special folder. All is good. @WayneSchulz yes, the user in company maintenance (Email tab) will have the emails in their sent folder.
