To those who have worked with the new MAS200 SQL -- I want to be sure my understanding is correct: 1. MAS 200 SQL 4.5 is the first version to support upgrades of existing MAS90 (non-SQL customers) 2. It is due Q4 2011 3. It will NOT support non-framework modules (aka Job Cost or Payroll)

Correct on all points. We have done upgrades from other versions to 4.45, but those were all ""beta"" and not officially supported.

Thanks Dawn. Is there any official upgrade price list -- I haven't yet started hunting the PFC.

Concur with Dawn. I haven't seen any upgrade price lists either.

I have been under the impression is that if you are on MAS200 and current on SMP there will not be a charge to ""Change"" to the SQL platform. On the other hand if they are on MAS90 they will need to upgrade to MAS200 (Library Master Upgrade)

Thanks these guys are on MAS90. Suffered a data loss due to (wait for it...) a disaster recovery center failure.... Now IT tells the accounting department that if they were on SQL this wouldn't have happened. I've provided about 10 lectures on how their problem really wasn't the failure but the lack of backup....

Yes, if you are on MAS 90 you need to upgrade to MAS 200. You can have MAS 200 in either ProvideX or SQL under 4.5. You have to pay for the SQL server licenses yourself (and a server to run SQL on) or you can go with Sage-provided licenses, but I believe per their license agreement with Microsoft, you then cannot use the SQL server for anything but Sage products.
