Need a mobile time tracking system that allows their field workers to enter in time on a job while in the field by Job number and work type. Work Type would be setup as a labor code with a payrate indicator so that time can be entered by job and work type for each employee. Work type (labor code) examples are: driving to or from the site, using specific equipment, general labor etc.
The pay rate for an employee doing the same work type on one job may be different than on another job due to factors such as the job location (they do jobs in several states) or may have prevailing wage requirements.
Need the ability to pay different pay rates by job by work type by employee. For example, for the same job, if an employee has certain licenses and/or longevity, that employee may be paid more to do the same work type as another employee who does not have the additional licenses and/or longevity.
They may have prevailing wage requirements for the job which are minimums that have to be paid to worker's and those may be specific by state, job and/or work type.
As a result of having to comply with prevailing wage requirements, they have Federal and/or State Certified Payroll reporting requirements. They currently use spreadsheets to figure out what to report.
