I have a customer interested in possibly modernizing the tracking of employees time. They want to see if there is a thumbprint system compatible or integrates with Sage 100.  They spend a lot of time reading time cards and counting hours.   They round, make mistakes and the employees have developed a lack of trust in the current methods. They want to see if Sage 100 supports a system with thumb print recognition (bio metrics).

This chart for iSolved (formerly TimeForce) might help - there are several with biometrics.

What do you mean by "Sage supports"?  A time and attendance system is a separate system from Sage 100 PR.  As the value added partner, you can develop and interface to get the hours into Sage PR.

Timeclock Plus (https://www.timeclockplus.com/) has some interesting time collectors.  But based on your post, sounds like their biggest headache is just doing the math.  They do have interfaces that interface with workstations and a bar code scanner.  A lot less expensive than a biometric reader!  TCP can do a lot in the time and attendance arena.  With your skill set of Sage and writing interfaces, you could bring good things to time!

"Sage Supports" is bad communication.  I know Sage doesn't support a bio metric time clock system.  I cut and pasted an email from a customer and made a few changes.  They use Sage 100 Payroll and want to cut down on the manual entry of time cards.  The owner wants a thumb print hardware system and he wants it to have integration to payroll.  I have integrated Timeclockplus and it is working well at another customer that uses payroll and job cost.  However the workers using Timeclcokplus are field installers and they use a cell phone to record the time and the job#.   This company needs a hardware solution for warehouse workers that writes data to a file that can be imported to payroll.

We use the Sage Time Track module when employees are able to punch in and out from fixed locations like a warehouse or a manufacturing plant.  It eliminates the need for a manual time card and integrates directly with payroll.  We have used bar code readers to identify the employees (we usually print a label and tape it to the back of their door fob or employee badge) but have not done any integration with a biometric reader as they seem to require and additional layer of software to store and interpret the scans.

TimeClock Plus also supports shop floor reporting via various types of data collectors.  Is that not your experience @Doug Higgs?  If you already know TCP, then it is just a simple matter of getting the required data collector.
