Those damn portals are always more difficult to build that they seem... http://online.wsj.com/article_email/SB10001424052702304441404579119740283413018-lMyQjAxMTAzMDAwNjEwNDYyWj.html

The administration had to know that if this didn't go smoothly, it would be used by those against Obamacare. Yet they rolled it out anyway. If they were politically smart, they would have delayed 'go live' and claimed it as being 'negotiable' with republicans. Instead, like so many of our ERP clients, they went live anyway to prove a point. If they knew it was busted, they shouldn't have gone live. If they didn't know it was busted, it proves the point they shouldn't try and compete with private companies

I also bet 90% or more of the 'millions of users' were tire kickers, like myself just seeing what it looked like and what the rates looked like. They didn't know that would happen? Meanwhile google serves 10x more people per day and never goes down like this, especially 7 days and counting

Oops, I was off by an order of magnitude. Google servers 1 BILLION searches per day. Just a tad more than the 2 million uniques the obamacare site got over 3 days.
