This thread on LinkedIn http://www.linkedin.com/groupItem?view=&srchtype=discussedNews&gid=1644357&item=94654953&type=member&trk=eml-anet_dig-b_pd-ttl-cn&ut=3_UZgV9Zkn2B81 got me thinking that we should have some sort of iScripts store so that - we would all know about things MAS can do that are not obviously possible - not reinvent the wheel - allow the script gurus another revenue source

Phil we may do something in the future. What I think is going to happen is that we'll have this be a benefit of full 90 Minds membership. The main requirement for 90 Minds membership ? That people join through OASIS and participate on a regular basis. We have many reasons that we've created two sub-groups -- with the main one being that we historically had many competitive concerns when admitting members though the concerns were less when people were primarily admitted to collaborate around support type issues. Participation and ""regular"" basis are two guidelines we struggle to attach a meaningful definition to and we're going to keep working to better define it. There is also a consensus that scripts are largely not reusable -- most of the folks working in the scripting area have shared that of the dozens they've used very few (if any) were able to be re-applied.

It's kind of like Crystal reports - while you could use a version of one customer's custom report with slight modifications for another customer, they almost always are easier to recreate from scratch (at least for me!).

Therese - I agree on Crystal, but I'm totally the opposite on scripting. I NEED examples to work from and then I can modify or create something similar.

It may just be a function of experience level, but I agree with @BethBowers. I am nowhere near as comfortable with scripts as I am with Crystal, both from the point of view of what is possible and what is not and also what is easy and what is difficult.

+1 with @BethBowers and @PhilMcIntosh. Just yesterday I was thinking about how I could solve a need for a client if I had more experience and examples of UDFs, UDTs and scripts.
