Unfortunatley We are going to have a bunch on new member messages. Hopefully it will just be a couple days of it .

So, have been out of it for a bit ... how are new members being selected and which are the ones that are private to our core group again? Color me confused.

Supposedly none of them. they will only be in the * feeds

The new * groups are pay to play. Flash the cash, get a ticket. Start contributing.........

Basically we've opened up sections of the 90 Minds group to anyone with a pulse and a check book who is a Sage MAS consultant in good standings. It's any of the sections with an asterisk in front of their name. This was done for two main reasons: open up the support section to more minds and to find a way to handle the different poeple who wanted to join, but may or may not want to participate. Essentially a recruiting mechanism.

We've specifically limited the * groups (also referred as External Facing) initially to technical areas. We want to add in more 1. Active 2. Smart 3. Contributors (who actively ask/answer support). We think this will help the group technical membership grow.

So the asterisked items are open to the ""public"", but the others are not. Or is Jim's note that all are open correct. Just don't want to say something that would offend folks we don't know...not that I would...well maybe Mark Chinsky... :)

You will always know when you are in a group that is open to non-90Minds members because the group will say ""External Facing"" directly underneath the group name when you are viewing the group page. We added the * to the beginning of group names because it resulted in them sorting in a more logical way (basically sorting all together) which we felt made it easier to find them and navigate.

* Groups are open to the OASIS public support users. I can't imagine you ever saying something to offend somebody, Deb.....

Gotcha Wayne, thanks for the clarification! LOL! Aren't you just being sweet Jeff?! Ok, so I have information on a JobOps change, should I put it in the private or public sector? Just trying to determine where it makes sense to post these days.

Is it sensitive info that you would only share with a 90 Minds member that you trust and which should not be re-broadcast? Then use a regular 90 Minds group. Otherwise please strive to use the External ""*"" groups

The * Groups for general knowledge. If the comment applies ONLY to the 90 Minds members or something that you don't want to share with the outside OASIS group, then keep it behind the fire wall curtain.
