    I'll drink to that!!!!! What do you mean about ""the future of Crystal Reports""? Based on SMI's ease of use, I don't think Crystal has to worry yet.............

    It is all about ease of use. I don't see this with SMI.

    I don't either but remember PC Charge? Not the quite the same but along similar lines. (Although I'm glad to see it go!)

    My gut says that this was partly strategic and partly to lock up a smaller company that may have been floating along doing ok but the acquisition guarantees that Alchemex doesn't get bought by someone else or go out of business.

    Sounds a bit like the lost opportunity when FRx was snapped up by Great Plains (?) than by Microsoft...............
