This is what happens when you force people to manage tiers instead of managing sales!

It doesn't help that the promos Sage offers are hardly promos. Example, purchase $10k of ISV product and get back on plan with no penalties. This is quite a deal until you realize that Sage 100cloud has no penalty for coming back onto subscription. Guiding users back to perpetual seems odd when you've spent the past 2 years showing that subscription is the wave of Sage's future..

Sage uses Tiers as a way of printing money instead of actual profits

Again, I think you mean ""Tears"" and not Tiers...remember the good old days when Sage would call and ask us to stock product at the end of their fiscal year? Which resulted in robbing the next year's sales because we had already purchased product for any new sale in the prior year. I kinda see this as the same thing - but there really is no consequence to Sage counting tier credit in both years. If we had something we could sell (new features, new enhancements, etc.) it sure would be easier for us to make our Tier without shedding tears regardless of the timeframe Sage posted the sales in. Just sayin'....

Order in FY 18 and by FY 19 we will have punched in your sale. We need two months.

Actually the best strategy here is to sell 100k every September and receive 200k in tier credit.......

It's like outdoor furniture. Always wait until September to buy.

Here's why you are seeing this - and why I think you will see more of it. - Confusing promos - Fewer partners - Lack of sales leadership - Partners focusing on diversification

And the whole system encourages sand bagging, because why would you want to exceed your tier at the expense of the next year?
