    This is very true. I still think the Facebook IPO stinks. These valuations, and it may take 5+ years to prove it, are beyond stupid...

    Value is what someone is willing to pay. The valuation of Facebook's IPO is based more on what the ""experts"" think investores will to pay for the stock rather than a value derived from an objective analysis of the business and it's model. Sounds like Enron.

    I think Facebook within the next three years will look quaint. So far as I can tell the main selling point is that it's a common site that people log into without having to create ""yet another password/login"". It does nothing for me except it's a place where most of our friends and family have accounts
