This is very similar to a Seth Godin post that's been re-shared recently (

The underlying theory is that average workers are the ones being left behind in the new economy. That automation is pushing us into another age where even more jobs are being permanently lost and those jobs aren't coming back. This is the ""new normal"".
In essence this is similar to my theory that in consulting you need to be offering customers some type of ""special sauce'.
What value add do you bring to the table versus the customer picking up the phone and contacting Sage.
