Sage 100

This is interesting - http://www.hightowerinc.com/about/partners/pro/HTI_PRO_Partner_program.pdf Hightower's partner program - which appears to move Sage partners to the accountant alliance program and then tells them that they don't need to worry about certifications.... To me that seems like it's going to run into trouble with Sage.

They seem to be a little late to the table.

My understanding is that Sage is not (yet?) on the ""Master VAR"" train... which is why I found the Hightower offer somewhat interesting. First, it's public. Accessible via any web search. Secondly, it appears to put HTI reseller status in the spotlight by offering to take on VARS as SAA ( I think this is the Sage Accountants Alliance? ) and pay their $500 enrollment while also publicizing that those who join can skirt the requirements for certification. This is either not going to stand or Sage is going to roll over and you'll see a lot more VARS become ""Master VARS

Interesting. Does anyone trust HTI enough to do this?

I looked on their web site and they had 11 people listed in all regions. It seemed most were CPA firms. I would have brushed it off as simply a program to work with CPA's but the literature definitely implies that it's a way for full VARS to give up their practices and earn margin from HTI without being certified.
