This is 4.5 Sage100. The client has 1 record in the IM_DeleteChangeItems but 22K in the IM_DeleteChangeItemsWork. What would cause this? Several of these records have an operation of 0 (Skip). What is my course of action? Reinitialize?

A client called yesterday with this same issue. I discovered that even in version 2017 PU2, the IM_DeleteChangeItemsWork.M4T file is never cleared. If you rebuild the Key Files, the IM_DeleteChangeItems.M4T file will be repopulated with all past entries from the Work file. Vicky at Sage Support was able to recreate this also and has sent a request to engineering for a fix. Probably only in 2016 & 2017. Larry - you can reinitialize the Work file when the IM_DeleteChangeItems.M4T is empty and everything will be okay. As soon as the you do another Delete Change routine the Work file will start growing again. If someone rebuilds the Key files, the work around is when first going into the Delete Change Items Utility you must click the clear button to remove all prior entries.

Is it just the IM Delete Change work file or does it affect the AR, AP and GL delete/change work files too @SteveEngmann?

I have not had any complaints and have not tested other apps.

My guess is left over garage. Check a couple items in thereto see if they are renumbered. Might be from a failed renumber routine that was aborted.

I received an update from Sage Support today. Here's the update.... The issue you reported on the Case number above has been submitted to our engineering team. The target has been set for version 2017.3 product update for review and resolution. The customer would need to upgrade to that version or higher to get the program fix.

That's great that they'll include a fix in 2017 rather than wait for 2018.
