    This Installation cannot be launched by itself"" while trying to install eFiling on a Windows 7 workstation (running MAS 4.5). AV is disabled, UAC is off, Firewall is disabled. Can't get it to install. Oddly, before all the disabling, could not get the efiling install to run from either wksetup autorun or the 4.5 installer. Downloaded the installer from Aatrix. It starts to go, then gives the message. Have Sage on the line - stumped the first level guy - he's going for help. Anyone had this experience?

    Thanks, but been there done that. Stumped Sage - they can't resolve. I forget - can the 4.5 user still use the non-efiling programs for 941 & state tax filing? She already has another program lined up for W2's. We may try installing a workstation on another computer, but she may kick this can down the road until she needs to upgrade next year.

    I am not sure I'd risk the mag media program since there's no updates and we really have no way of knowing what changes lurk.

    Barbara - I am getting this same issue but the client is on 2014. So don't know if kicking it down the road will help your client....

    Well, if it's useful, you can reference my case # from Sage: 8004168802. I'm scheduled to install on a different computer later this week, so I'll report back results.

    @WayneSchulz - I will. @BethBowers - I didn't think you could install eFiling on a server O/S.

    I just installed it on a 4.5 client's server

    Well, mine is working now. The issue was that the original install had never happened on the client workstation BUT it also didn't have the handy little message about installing it that it's supposed to have with 2013 and 2014. I thought we were past that and just trying to UPDATE, but got wires crossed with the client.

    Install as administrator or be sure you're logged in as administrator on the workstation?

    Ran as administrator. Update: I installed workstation on another workstation and had the same failed experience when trying to install eFiling on that machine, also. I don't think I mentioned that the first workstation is also serving as the server. It's a single user environment. Just sent IT guy SPM and Install guides and asked him to look for clues.
