This has been in the works for a while at Sage. I have been briefed on some of the missing details and am willing to answer what questions I can. I would also like to throw my hat in the ring as a ""formal alliance"" partner for anyone that is interested. Most of my business comes from partnering and we always try to take very good care in all aspects of our working relationships with other Sage partners.

<Crickets chirping> All kidding aside, I'm surprised more people haven't commented on this new policy here.

By being part of this group, I feel I can take care of any client concerns. If I something falls outside my abilities (about half of Sage's offerings do now), I can reach out to another member to fill the void. And I don't lose sleep worrying whether my partner has their eye on the ROR. @PeterWolf - Is there an official form or a web page where we formalize our alliances?

I received this from my CAM: ""Hello Partners, I wanted to let you know that there has been some realignment of our Customer Account Managers, effective this month. As part of this change, I will no longer be your account manager. I have enjoyed working with you during the past 6 months and will miss that regular interaction! I will now be working as part of the team that is reaching out to our clients to generate cross sell opportunities. I believe you received a communication from Sage about this new initiative on July 11."" He then introduced our new CAM. And yes, how DOES one form an alliance??

Is anyone here certified on HRMS? I think that's the only piece of this I need an alliance for. I have requested my ""Regional Growth Manager"" (why does that title make me want to see an oncologist?) provide info on what Sage thinks I would need an alliance or further certification for, because who knows what info made it into Atlas and what didn't.

Perter, I think at this point most people are thinking ""same ole same ole"" cr@p from Sage.

To set up the ""formal alliance"", you should contact the Regional Growth Manager for your region (listed in the email). Regarding ""same old, same old"" mentality, I think this is a bit more than that. The details haven't been completely released but it's my understanding if Sage proceeds with the plan, partners receive no margins. That's why I'm bringing it to attention. Anyone that wants to take a shot at marketing CRM to the clients with my team can get out in front of this, control the process, built the trusted advisor role and possibly make some margins. If Sage does the work, they will control the process.
