This from a friend here in town. I don't know a bunch about payroll. Can someone provide some advise. This is my first time doing a payroll that is the 3rd payroll period in the month. I am changing it to 3rd payroll period but it is still deducting insurance and shouldn't. However, if I choose for it not to take auto deductions then it doesn't take out 401K which it should. Any suggestions? I have to get this done within the next hour and a half. Thanks!

In deduction code maintenance, is the deduction setup for ""Every Pay Period""? There are check boxes for which pay period in the month to take each deduction.

In Deduction Code Maintenance you can set the frequency of the deduction. Try turning off Pay Period 3 for the insurance deduction.

How is the ''frequency of deduction' setup for payperiods? In deduction code maintenance, is the 'every payperiod' box checked? Uncheck and just select 1 & 2 if you don't want the 3rd payroll of the month to have the deduction.
