    This communication from Sage started arriving today at some of our customers, very inappropriate for most. If we thought any of our customers were appropriate, we would have already recommended it. In terms of identifying and resolving manual processes and inefficiencies, that is initially a consulting engagement that may lead into identifying potential software solutions. Why does Sage think they can step onto our turf? Anyone else see this mailing yet?

    Wow. I haven't seen it yet. So John, did you receive the email, or only your customers who then called you asking about it?

    Just the customers. I have asked (I never plead with Sage - they don't deserve that) that I get a copy of these types of mailings before they are sent to customers, but apparently that's too easy. I forwarded it to my RSM and Rob Larsh, but no response yet.

    Sage tried a very similar tactic years ago with MAS 500. At one point they were going pretty aggressively after the MAS 200 users. I don't think it produced a significant migration and in my opinion those who migrated probably did not trade-up based upon MAS 500's uncertain future.
