We have a client that is currently using a Zebra printer.  When a Windows 7 machine prints to the Zebra printer, printing is in landscape, as specified.  When a brand new Windows 10 machines prints from Sage 100 v2018 to the Zebra printer, it will only print in portrait.  We have exhausted their internal IT resources and our own without resolution. Can anyone recommend a Thermal printer recommendation to be used with Sage 100 v2018 with Windows 7 and Windows 10 compatibility?

I need to know this too.  I have nothing but issues when upgrading people with labels.  And sometimes, the first label print in portrait and the REST print in landscape...

I have run into the issue and I think it is related to changes in Crystal Reports and windows. I ended up changing the form to be formatted to print landscape (ie turned everything sideways). I do not think ithe issue was specific to Zebra (which usually works great). It was something with the windows printer driver and crystal that didn't agree. Might be an old post from the old site about it somewhere.

I had this problem. You need to create a page size that is longer than it is wide in Crystal. For example the labels we're 4" wide x 2" long. I created a page size of 4" x 4.25" long. Just create the report in the top half of the display. The Zebra printer senses the correct top of each label, and it works perfectly.

REALLY?  Now I'm almost eager to have another upgrade that involves a label so I can try this.  How interesting...

    Nice tip Jon!
I've usually gone with the rotated field strategy (remember to convert numbers to string or you'll just get ## instead).
Another idea I've read about is to use 3rd party label printing software (BarTender?) instead of the Crystal Reports print engine.

I recommend Label Matrix as the 3rd party label printing software.  But the results are the same as @Kevin Moyes notes above.  Saves on the Crystal headache issues in the long run.
