@ThereseLogeais - have vendors been contacting you about webinars? If not - what do you think about trying to assign them a date? I have this fear that vendors might try to all go for the same dates and/or they want to schedule something with two days notice and we're unable to promote it.

One thought: I think we should publish a schedule of slots and have vendors sign up for the different slots. It allows us to control inventory and schedule and will make things go a lot smoother from an administrative standpoint. I think at some point, it's up to the vendors to ""play ball"" and look at the available choices and sign up (as opposed to us chasing them down to receive their benefits).

Most of the vendors have not been super communicative.

    We've sent them this - https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=90minds.com_piamf4fe88lphlhn0pr2u053ug@group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America/New_York

Ok thanks Wayne. Unfortunate but not surprising given my own communications with them. I think a lot of them are small and don't have an organized approach to marketing. If we were using CRM, we could send out automated reminders to people to let them know that their window to schedule their webinars is closing (if they aren't on the schedule). It's going to be awkward for renewals but I will just come out and say to people ""look - you have all these great benefits, you need to use them!

I sent you all a copy of the email I sent today. I've been sending these every Monday just as a reminder of benefits. So far very little discussion from vendor members. It could be that we're in the midst of the summer and people will become more active in September.

I didn't receive a copy. Wouldn't this be easier if we just opened up a sub-group in SC for the vendors? I think the only ""risk"" would be they could also see comments posted in the open / no group thread. Or am I missing something?

You're missing something. The * groups are all open groups. Anyone in Socialcast can join any * group. The only way to admit vendors to a private area within the current Socialcast architecture is to take those groups private. It's pretty unmanageable at this point to do that with 161 members. I (or someone) would have to field member questions about what groups are available and add them to any they want to try on. Then when they drop out and want back in, we'd have to add them again. I can invite everyone to all of the groups, but they have to accept the invitation. If they don't, the invitation expires after a period of time. Yada yada!

We could set them up as external users and them they won't be able to see the inside. We originally did this to the oasis members. SocialCast has imported the capabilities so I would think that would be the answer.

Dimension Funding contacted me and they scheduled one for Sept. 30th. I have asked her for a brief overview so I can promote it.

or 90 Minds Vendor Members?..... What is the purpose of the group?

I'm OK with testing. Part of the problem with external groups was a lack of search capability.

I'm trying to read through my notes. It could be if we are thinking this is our primary communication channel with vendors. Before inviting anyone outside the admin group, I need to make adjustments to the email that gets sent out to folks joining.

@ThereseLogeais - what do you think about creating a Google Form that we could mail to vendors to supply info for their webinars. It would be nice if we could get all their info in one shot - time, date, summary of the presentation, who the audience is (members only or anyone including customers). I'm afraid if we don't give them a single form that there will be a lot of back and forth gathering this data making it more difficult to keep up. ?
