IMHO if you haven't already seen this, you probably don't deserve to be a reseller. We've seen this a LOT more than any previous upgrade.

I saw Linda speak on Sage 500 at Summit. She seemed capable. Clearly webinars on new products are not her strength

So I asked what the pricing would be for customers to move from perpetual to subscription licensing. The price will be a 15% increase of their current business care plan renewal. So, if the renewal is $5K, the new price will be $5,750. Relatively speaking, I guess that is not too bad. I followed that up with if the reseller margin would be based on the subscription pricing or the business care renewal. No answer on that one yet...I will post it if they answer it. Oh, Diane Haines has been answering my questions - full disclosure.

@JohnHoyt - Oh, I am sure it will be at the standard pricing once they move to subscription. Duh! LOL!

I guess I have strange customers. Exactly 0.0% are interested in a NEW UI that they have to re-train 50 people on. Isn't that the first question people ask about an upgrade? Very few companies want to put in a new UI.

@WayneSchulz I think you are correct. 2016 enhancement to c line are not compelling for most current customers. It's the future enhancement that will make it interesting.

@WayneSchulz - I do have a lot of customers who want the bigger font but don't like changing their screen resolution, so this will be good for them.

I do believe the new UI is going to look way more attractive to prospective customers, so we will probably be leading with 100c for new prospects.

Wouldn't it be more enticing to lowball the C offering so perpetual users are incented to switch. Then in two years or so, lower the boom on them?

I asked yesterday, and any new customer that buys on subscription before the release of 100c will automatically be given 100c at the same subscription price - for one year. (Until they decide they need that activation fee.)

Upgrade assistance - as if they know all the stuff a user is using and understand the network environment.

@PaulZiliak that is what they are saying. Anything that is GOOD or that you might want, will be in 100c that you can get for 15% more

The who and when transactions were updated have been there for years - not sure why that was considered a new feature?? did I miss something?

OK, I don't make anything on maintenance, but this sort of offends me that they're trying to show you how much more you can make by screwing over the customers.

I asked about keys expiring - no response - others need to ask I bet it is coming.

And of course, this will NOT apply to the few bronze resellers who remain...
