I don't think that the Sage CRM certification let's you off the hook for this course, I have that cert too and was told I still need to take this assesment. As Sage explained it to me, it's the intergration of CRM to Sage 100, so it's actually a different course. Although the shades of grey for me are quite apparent as this seems to overlap not just the Sage CRM cert, but also the recent Installation Assesment.
Regarding being proactive - well the training rep I spoke with said they've begged to have this information be more promient both on the SageU site and in partner communications. They (Sage training) knows there is an issue with getting this information out to the channel in a timely and comprehensive manner, but the powers that be don't seem to listen to them, or to us.
So, yes Wayne, Sage as a whole isn't being proactive, even if some departments within Sage are making requests to be proactive.
