The Sage 100c has Essentials Advanced and Complete. On the latest pricelist, Complete is the only one with BOM. There is no optional add on for BOM at any level other than coming with Complete. This seems odd as the user priced perpetual includes BOM in the Distribution Bundle. I sent an email to Sage last night. I have not heard back. So, I called, so I could get my quote out. They are all in a Sales meeting... ""Please call back... Good Bye.

I now see after taking a fresh look. I had the premise complete was manufacturing modules. Complete just gives BOM, BarCode and RMA. I am all set.

It's still a good question, though. What if a customer only needed BOM and not RMA and Bar Code? Not possible without Complete. The reality is the difference per user per month between Advanced and Complete is between $5 and $8, so really not significant.

Another interesting idea - why can't customers mix and match license types? Why should a company be priced at the highest tier because one user needs access to SO/BM/PO? Answer: Because Sage sat down with a spreadsheet (and a prayer) to compute the best way to stay revenue neutral or grow 6-10% as demanded by UK.
