I have a customer on 2016.5 processing credit cards manually
1. They take the card and swipe it through their terminal
2. The sales order is created
3. Card is put on sales order as a deposit
4. Customer changes mind about some aspect of order and sales order is reduced
5. Now the credit card deposit amount is > sales order total amount
6. When trying to invoice they receive " The order total is less than the credit card deposit amount."
7. This appears to be a known Sage
issue I advised the customer that their best way to avoid this is to fully integrate with one of the credit card processors and process cards as a pre-authorization and allow the final amount to be applied when the invoice is updated. They say that prior to their 2016 upgrade they did not have this issue and what used to happen is the customer would just get a credit on account.
Has anyone chased this specific issue which appears to be a Sage bug fixed in 2016.1 yet we still are seeing it at 2016.5
