The 'ol ""binder fell on the keyboard"" excuse. {client} ""I was working on payroll and begun the check printing process and before I could printed the checks it updated the check register by itself instead of letting me print the checks. So therefore, my checks did not get printed."" Upon speaking with the client, I was then informed about ""the binder"". Although, the client didn't understand though how that could have printed ""AND"" updated the P/R Ck Register since they're separate prompts. I said it's difficult to know exactly what transpired but it appears it's safe to say we have a rough idea what happened - and that the binder falling on the keyboard had something to do with it.

Not to mention that it doesn't usually offer to print the register until the system at least thinks the checks printed.

A long, long time ago, I had a woman call me and say, ""I was updating the PR check register and realized I hadn't printed all the checks. I couldn't stop the update so I unplugged my computer."" In the middle of the update.... Now this was the wife of the owner doing this at her kitchen table in her bathrobe, I'm fairly certain. Too bad they did not have a backup. (They are no longer a client, BTW.)
