The Object PvxDax.PvxDictionary could not be initialized"". Occurs when launching MAS 200 desktop version 2013 from the server and all workstations. I was doing some server cleanup last week and uninstalled a 4.5 workstation and deleted services that used to run prior versions of MAS on our Windows 2008 R2 server. Running MAS 2013 as a service, but I get the same error if I launch it as an Application. When I look up the message in KB, there is a possible resolution for 4.5, which is to run vcredist_x86.exe. I find this program in the 2013 install folder, but when I begin to launch it, it indicates that it will install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 (not 2008) Runtime Libraries. Has anyone encountered this message on 2013? Any thoughts if I should trust the vcredist_x86 in the 2013 install folder?

I ran into this last week with 2013 - I ended up just going directly to the Microsoft download website and installing visuall C++ 2008 from there and was able to resolve

Also make sure that the PVXdax.dll can be manually registered

I'm sure we've read similar KB - my two issues were (a) clicking an icon when Sage has been removed but not the icon or (b) needing the C++ https://www.evernote.com/shard/s1/sh/06d448d8-22b3-4cfe-9486-d171ae0824b9/cf3ef5f28273d01e6693ef0f8f5d84cc

@WayneSchulz thanks, I read your evernote doc earlier. Update: it runs in MAS90 mode.

Not sure why, didn't do anything. Also, Alnoor emailed me and suggested that there may be some files missing in our \MAS90 and/or \MAS90\Home folder. I just compared ours with a client install, but couldn't id any missing files.

Last time this happened to me I had uninstalled a customer Sage 100 ERP and was clicking on an old icon. Thankfully it doesn't happen often.

@JenniferChriston - thanks for the suggestion. Tried it. No resolution. @JoanSerr - I don't find that DLL in my 2013. The one I find on the server is in the 4.3 folder, but didn't find one in 4.4 or 4.5 folders.

So after much teeth gnashing and a case with Sage, it turned out to be that there IS a PVXdax.dll @JoanSerr , I just couldn't find it (it wasn't in the MAS90 folder, but rather in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Sage\Common Components. Ran REGCOM.BAT and voila.
