  • 1.  The last tier qualification report was through 9/9

The last tier qualification report was through 9/9 and I was about 2k away from moving up a tier. We have since made a couple of sales and I believe we've made it but I would like someone from Sage to verify it. I've been offered an 8/31 report, an unofficial report (meaning, it doesn't include any adjustments, etc.) or I can wait until mid-October. It's not every quarter that one of us actually moves UP a tier and I'll be one unhappy camper if I miss it by a hair.......

It does take time to tabulate those reports. Running a 10 key is becoming a lost art. I would expect something tonight or tomorrow.

Good luck with Sage getting you information in a timely fashion. I lost a level of tier over less than $300 in new product tier due to Sage telling me one thing and later reporting another. Do your own math and pester them until you know you have it right. They will stick it to you if they can; I know that first hand.

Sorry to hear that, Greg. That's my fear exactly. I think I've covered myself against all discrepancies but I still don't want to overlook anything.

How can Sage operate so inefficiently behind the scenes...

Because they don't invest in their own technology?? No one wants to pay for a systems review from John Shaver???

Plenty do Jeff...just not Sage. I've never understood why they don't use Ed on internal projects. And don't even get me started on PSG!

Sage has been trying to implement SAP for at least 3.5 years...

I remember years ago when we received what seemed like daily tier updates as we neared quarter end and especially year end. Then it was more about pumping up the revenue Sage reported and less about making tier since the tier structure was much more clear. The tier piece was always there but it was an incentive to sell. In recent years the tier structure has become a mechanism for Sage to cut margins.
