The joys of StarShip 13 and Sage 4.5. The write-back of the tracking number and freight amount is only populating for one package but the freight amount written back for package 1 is the total for all packages. Has anyone successfully had StarShip and 4.5 write-back as it should?

Is your customer using Starship to pack the boxes? I ask because if they use the ""Ship Complete"" button in Shipping data entry, then everything gets stuffed into one package (or the last package noted on the screen). StarShip may have multiple tracking number but only have one packing record to link back to. Use DFDM to Look at SO_PackageTrackingByItem to see how many Packing records are associated with the invoice.

@KateKrueger can you tell us the process they are using? I have a client that is on 4.5.6 and SS13.0.3 and it is working fine. They do their orders from SS and it is passing all tracking no's back and the total freight.

This took me forever to research but I'm back at it. My most recent test had them open shipping data entry, manually enter half the shipping qty in package 001 and then manually enter the other half of the shipping qty in package 002 in Sage 100. Then they sent it over to StarShip and weighed and shipped two boxes with two tracking numbers. On the write back to Sage, two packages came back but only the first line had a tracking number and the total of the freight for both boxes. This leads me to believe it is on the StarShip side of things but I'm loath to call vTechnologies...

I am sorry Kate my starship knowledge is not current. However, I think i remember a freight rule that allowed the assignment of freight to the invoice by package. I also called a customer who once used starship but has since migrated to another frieght system. He suggested that there may be an option in the starship shipping labels to assign the freight cost to one package. I hope this helps. Good luck.
