Speaking of FAS, are there any FAS experts in this group? (Oops, I mean Sage Fixed Assets.)

Do you mean you weren't paying attention to the FAS section during MAS installation certification? What type of questions do you have?

Where to start... A customer has FAS Gov 2006.1, has paid their maintenance but hasn't received any media for at least 4 years, and now wants to upgrade. The thing is, you have to upgrade to at least 2008.1 before going to 2009.1, which is the oldest version available for download. I don't have media for FAS Gov but I DO for regular FAS. Sage said to let Professional Services do the conversion. What to do, what to do....

Of course Sage would say let PS handle the job.............. Perhaps I should merge with them. But I digress! I would think someone in the group has the necessary FAS GOV 2008 DVD so you can be a hero! Robert W??

Jim, in looking at the link you posted, this appears to be the MAS version of FAS which may or may not be the same. Therese is looking for the GOV version of FAS which is a different product.

The SAGE FAS website www.sagefas.com website has all the updates for the versions. you just need a valid customer number to login.

@WayneSchulz do you have the FAS Gov 2008.1?

@RobertWood you wouldn't happen to have the FAS Gov 2008.1 (or 2007.1) media, would you??

    Sorry - I just noticed that requirement and I don't ..

Btw, it was the FAS support tech who said he would escalate it to PS. He said they should contact me within 24 hours. Let's see, that was yesterday morning and I've yet to hear from them... Have any of you exported/imported FAS data? I'm thinking I might export it from FAS Gov then import it into FAS. Let me know if you've ever done this - thanks in advance!

Therese, that doesn't surprise me about PSG. The PSG folks for Abra are equally lame.

I've done imports to FAS --- literally knowing nothing about FAS -- it was not terrible to do. I think it took me half day or so to get the hang of everything. I always think FAS looks like 1980 era software that they just keep putting new coats of paint on.

Unless you have recently written a new program, what doesn't look old and antiquated? A client of mine that has been implementing Abra Timesheets for the past year and the number one complaint has been the cludgy look and feel. The accountants love it because their work is so much easier, it just doesn't have the IPad sizzle.......

Interesting conversation with a client that has MAS, FAS and Abra. With the new customer portal, their three ID #'s have been consolidated into ................ THREE different account numbers. Plus, they have to use different e-mail addresses for each number. They certainly aren't very happy with the new portal..........

Where do I get some of the Kool Aid to drink. Sage is charging more for ""improved"" support, but from what I am hearing (regarding the PS group) life will just continue to get worse. How I envy Mike Fitz for abandoning ship at just the right moment..........

@JeffSchwenk - for Accpac on Atlas I have one login as the business who has customers and one login as a certified consultant who has access to support. One person, one product, two logins with some info in common and some I can only see as one or the other

If you find one, it will be a false one...nothing Holy about it. If nothing else, it should prove to Sage that they really need the channel, cause they SUCK at implementation!
