The following conversion record failed while conv

The following conversion record failed while converting PRI: 05.00.00.00:DATA:CI_SageExchange:000000:000 - The Sage Exchange Desktop service is unavailable because your Internet connection is not working. Try again or contact a Sage 100 ERP Customer Support Representative if you continue to encounter connection issues View the Activity Log to locate a specific conversion log."" Upgrade to a new server that will not be allowed to communicate with the outside world - no outside internet at all. Customer does not use credit card modeule/processing in Sage, is there any way to convert the date (from 4.3 mas 90 to 2013 SQL) without the conversion trying to cal out to Sage Exchange?

If the customer does not use credit card processign in Sage and Sage is trying to be PCI compliant, I am not sure but you can try re-initialzing the credit card information in 4.3 and then migrating / converting that way Sage will not think there is anything to convert and go to the outside world.

thanks - I was gong to take a look at the 4.3 data and make sure there is no record of credit detail anywhere, just wanted to see if anyone knew of a way around this. It would be very nice if there was a check box that said - ""no CC info"" or ""Turn off Sage Exchange"" - it has been a huge hassle in so many upgrades.

Which PU do you have on version 4.3? We ran into issues doing a Sage 100 standard conversion from 4.3 to Sage 2013 with the same issue and Sage ended up dialing in and installing some files. They said it was because PU18 hadn't been installed on 4.3

I'll check but i thought it was at least PU18

it's PU21 - the funny thing is that they opened up the internet on the server, so we can browse out to Sage Exchange website, but we still get the message when converting that ""your internet connection is not working."" Doing some clean up on 4.3 to remove any historical cc info - looks like there were 2 records in the customerCretCard file. Will copy back in and try the conversion again.

After the Parallel conversion, before the convert-data: DFDM SY_Company on 5.0.x - chg field 51: AESEncrption to DELETE for each company.

I'll give that a shot Lee - that has worked for me in the past (different error message). Just finished clean -up of 4.3 AR and copying the company back over to start conversion. Prior to the conversiion I'll set that key to delete.

The other ploy is completely delete the company record if it already exists in the destination system - not necessarily company-data, just the company record.

@LeeGraham - what do you mean? If I delete the company record from SY_Company will i be able to open the company code up to convert? I just received the error message again (after 4 hrs of conversion), it's slightly different (not talking about internet connection) but it's still the basic SageExchange error message. If I delete the company record from SY_Company can I just try to keep the conversion going?

error log says its stuck on SY_CreditCardRestart - last record field, which is, ""AR_PaymentTypeSO|"" - according to the SQL table

ok - so clearing the bad record out of SY_CreditCardRestart is the fix - it leaves the record out there after the first error, so cleaning up the data in 4.3 and copying back over, reconverting doesn't clear out the SY-CreditCardrestart file - has to be deleted manually.

Hope your company converted. My note was to say if the company-rec exists in the destination system prior to conversion (such as a re-convert-go-live situation), I've had to delete that company code in SY_Company in the destination system prior to parallel upgrade and data conversion.

Thanks Lee - I thought we had it fixed but we hit another error (this is after going back to 4.3, clearing out the credit card encryption key and all credit info - after already purging the credit card history using the utilities). We also rebuilt AR and SO key files and sort files. Now the error is: ""The following record failed while converting PRI: 05.00.02.00:DATA:SO_InvoiceTierDistribution:000000:000 Error #88: Invalid/unknown property name. View the Activity Log to locate a specific conversion log."" Aren't the 05.00..... errors still related to Sage Exchange? Last time I saw this error it was followed by another credit card error message. The table referenced has no credit card data in it so I'm confused.

That's a temporary file, I believe. Have you tried reinitializing it?

Thanks Therese - I was going to try to take a look at the file but my contact didn't pick up his phone. As soon as I can I'll get in and try to reinitialize it.

table is empty - back in 4.3 and in 5.0 - I think it's still Sage Exchange related
