The current status on the pre-conference training

The current status on the pre-conference training projects about a $6,300 loss given current sign-ups (also factoring in 8 comps at $75/ea for food). If there is any thought to canceling one or the other this notification should probably be made before week's end. 2 Day Passes: 15 1 Day Passes: 6 We have not recomputed for the new higher fee though I think only one person signed up under the higher amount. I do not recommend running educational events at a loss as a long term viable option. At some point the outflow is going to exceed the inflow and we are going to be hit with a cash shortage.

I agree but I'm coming up with about a $4,900 loss with the additional $950 registration and admin meals at $50/each, which is what we used for attendee cost.

Oops, sorry. Forgot the incidentals so now we're at about -$5,100.

Look in the spreadsheet and let me know where the error is -- the per day per comp is estimated at $50 food and $25 incidentals or $75/day / comp

BTW - I threw the comp cost into the administrative formula

I think you might be looking in the ""only one event held"" side -- need to look at the left where it computes if both events were to be held.

Should I make a misogynistic joke about women and math now?

We can't keep doing these events at a loss for sure. I am guessing we'll have more sign ups as time goes on. We may need to create another artificial deadline (rate goes up to final rate and/or open up to other Sage partners).

Most conferences have at least three different deadlines during which the rate goes progressively higher.

The thing is that we can alway renegotiate the fee with Alnoor and with Eric.

I don't think we should negotiate down some of our best members. Why should we penalize them?

I agree but we said the class was a lot bigger too. I thought We kind of backed into the rate based on our projections.

We have over two months to bring in more registrants. Time to do some more marketing to generate excitement to drive the signups. Some ""blogging"" on SC, put out requests for questions and topics that people are having issues with now so they can be covered. There is probably a lot of marketing that we can do in the next 4 -6 weeks. Stay the course, no cancellations, every sign up lessons our loss. Drive the sales, don't cut costs at this point.
