Yes it is -- note that this is only for the app -- Gmail will still work natively on BB.

I don't use the mail app. I hope the Google Mobile App will still be available!!

The standalone app is what they're discontinuing. They are still going to let you hook in your Gmail the same way you'd hook any other email account.
