The Accpac roadmap call today was rather disturbing. The original plan for 6.1 bringing a web interface has been scrapped, and the minimal 6.1 improvements still won't be out till October. Going forward, Sage basically said they are only going to develop things marketing thinks are sexy and can be done cheap. Oh, and connected services, and an Advisor piece that moves beyond help into actively trying to sell other modules and connected services. So the additional maintenance revenue is definitely not going into development. Erik Kaas took questions but did not answer mine: What did Accpac customers get for their maintenance dollars in 2011?

Looks like accpac joins mas90 on purgatory row. The only erp package that will get r&d will be the French president's X3

That's sad because for about two years Accpac was ridding high as the wave of the future.
