don't think it ever left. Baesis was given a ""code"" to use for our clients, until June 30th...

We also have a code good through 6/30/2015. Sage should set it permanently at $99 instead of playing games. And why not give partners the same rate? Because we are a profit center.

Here's a brilliant idea (that they will never adopt): let us resell tickets and make our margin on them. If you really want to get the message out, you should <gasp> motivate the channel. What's the motivation now? Send customers to Summit so Sage can continue to build in roads and sell direct? Or so other partners that have booths can talk with your customers? Most partners play nicely but not all ... I suggested it years ago to the event planners. Crickets chirping ...

As long as we are floating ideas that will never be adopted, why don't the PARTNERS hold an annual conference and we'll invite Sage and other vendors, charging them enough to pay for it.

I'm not sure if you are being tongue in cheek but I've been advocating a 90 Minds led customer conference for years. I think it's high time and it will help give customers more substantial content for daily concerns (as opposed to the bigger picture, marketing directed information that Summit seems geared towards). If this is something others think is a good idea, you need to let the Admin Board know.

@PeterWolf I am totally serious with my suggestion, and believe it would be a great success. Who better to encourage their customers to attend than the business partners.

I was at an existing Sage 100 user site today. They are contemplating changing VARS. The very question of whether MOTM was open to end users came up and I did such a sell job on the value of 90 Minds that they were visibly disappointed when I said that it was only for consultants. I think we are reaching a point where we want to have end users able to join our conference. MOTM is really the only place where they are going to get exposure to useful technical content that isn't 100% sales pitch. And for everyone thinking that they don't want their customers to be exposed to that --- guess what? You can't control it. If it's not 90 Minds offering it - -then it's going to be another organization (or Sage on their next local tour) and it's probably going to be much more of a marketing pitch than what we'd design. Sage is doing so much advertising for new people that I wouldn't be completely surprised if they ramped up a professional services arm that was staffed internally and able to engage with customers who attend their local gatherings. Best to get out ahead of this than try to play catch up.

I have been advocating this for quite some time. Peter merely piggy backed my original brilliant idea/thought.

@WayneSchulz I'm on board with this.

The more I visit prospective customers the more I mention 90 Minds. I think it is a powerful marketing and support tool. Customers are starting to see that as they add integrations it can take a team approach to support them. The customers who are still looking for that line var who knows every integration and installs and supports it are chasing a unicorn.

I like the concept. Need fleshing out. Would regional conferences be an option?

My .02 -- the main issues with regional conferences is cost. It's possible we could do a West Coast and Pre-Summit type educational conference. Anything more and we'd be competing against any Sage events (Inspire tour, etc). While I don't want to cater to the ""how do I void a check"" or ""I was never trained properly"" crowd -- I think to ignore this market puts the 90 Minds group at a disadvantage when some other group suddenly springs up to offer this type conference and begins to pull our members. 90 Minds has an opportunity to get out in front of this. While there's some risk that customers would attend and achieve DIY status (a risk even without MOTM in my view) we could require customers attending to be ROR of an existing 90 Minds member which adds value to membership.

It should be an annual event that provides attendees with a pleasant weather experience, such as San Diego in February, not like Las Vegas and New Orleans in July. I'm not sure people stay away due to the weather, but it is a factor. I can see other on-line events during the year to keep us as an organization visible.

This should definitely happen. It's a great idea, @WayneSchulz . @PeterWolf , why didn't you think of something like this?

I did try to raise the issue at MotM in 2013 in the wrap-up meeting and then informally in 2014. I guess it's an idea who's time has finally come?
