Thanks to @RobertWood and @WayneSchulz for the nice overview of Evernote functionality today. I have heard a lot of great things about it and hadn't made the time to dive in yet. This was great.

I have started using Evernote a while back and like it. I also have used the 90 minds mailing one a few times already. Easy to find the document you are looking for. Thanks @WayneSchulz and @RobertWood !

I've been using Evernote for a couple of years and love it. I use it to keep a lot of different pieces of information organized. You can have personal notebooks and by joining these notebooks, you're not exposing any of your information from your personal notebooks. The only sharing going on is in the shared notebooks or if you have a business account, the information in the business notebooks. Anything in a personal notebook is only exposed to you, unless you share it or it's shared with you.

The best part is you can get the information any time any where. From your phone you can take a picture ( of great wine you had a dinner :) ) or clip information right to Evernote from a web site...

Look at you, Di! I should have called you for a personal demo! Plus I could see your wine photos. :)

There are multiple apps for getting information into Evernote. There is an Evernote Food app that is just for the purpose of recording meals.

I too have been using for some time and like the flexibility. I use also for recipes I find online. I snatch the url and sometimes a pic, love visuals. Not sure if it was mentioned, but there is a web clipper http://evernote.com/webclipper/ to make this real easy. Much thanks @WayneSchulz @RobertWood

I was trying to demo the webclipper but it wasn't cooperating.

Dang, the things I am missing. One of these days I will figure it out.........

I'm still trying to figure out how @RobertWood managed to separate things into Personal vs Business. I've been using it for about a year and love it. Keep track of client mtgs, action items for same, etc. Like the idea of keeping wine notes on there @DianeRuth :)

Reading these uses just gave me an idea for business receipt documentation (restaurants, hotels, etc). Just snap a picture of it, then upload to your business receipts notebook. No more hunting for the receipt for documentation to the IRS..... Wow. Heading west tomorrow for two weeks. I think I will get plenty of practice for this app. Oh, just thought of another one - How many of us keep a paper log file in the car to track mileage for IRS documentation? When you are done driving for the day, just post the activity into Evernote before hopping out of the car.......

You can email evernote to a address (found in account setting). In the subject you can tag the folder you want it to go too. Also you can easily move a note to a didn't notebook.
