Terminal server and V4.5 slow printing I have an associate asking me about Paperless on V4.50 and terminal server. Regardless of running MAS 90 or MAS 200. When they run MAS in a terminal services environment and enable Paperless Office, MAS takes between 2 and 4 minutes when printing a Sales Journal, Invoice Register, General Ledger Journal, etc. before the .pdf appears on the screen. Sometimes the .pdf happens quickly, but if the client hits the print button to physically print the registers out, it will take the 2 to 4 minutes to print out that register/journal. It's always in a Terminal Services environment, most of the clients are running on Windows 2008, R2, at least 4 gigs of RAM (some clients have 8), Gigabyte networking, and dedicated servers. The client's solutions have all been to turn Paperless Office off (which does fix the problem!), but they really don't want to do that they're just forced to with the time delay. Anyone know of a fix that that could tried for the speed issues with updating a register when Paperless is enabled?

What about that document that Alnoor published a couple weeks back? Set up the Sage port to c:\users\public\sage and make changes to the Everyone permissions security.

I have a number for end users running in TS environments and none of them have an issue with poor performance with Paperless Office generating or printing Paperless Office. One is running Windows Server 2008 (64 bit) without a hitch. It might not affect anything, but I setup the folders a bit more granular than putting all AR documents in one folder. There is a company folder, AR parent folder. Sub folders are AR Sales Journal, Cash Receipts, DTR, Invoice. i wouldn't think that would make a difference though.

Yes. Definitely make sure that the Sage PDF printer driver has all of the correct settings.

FYI... From my associate: We ended up taking Adobe out of the picture totally, installed Foxit, set up separate folders for each module of Paperless Office, and wah-lah problem fixed! The first client we've tried this on, is very, very, very happy said his printing has never been so fast. So, we'll continue on to apply the fix to the rest of the clients having the problems, and hope the result is the same.

@JimWoodhead so taking Adobe out of the picture you mean uninstalled it? The Foxit is the free reader download?
