Temp Fields in VI job will not populate ok it is Friday afternoon here in the Midwest and it HAS been a long day but I think I'm losing my mind. I'm importing into SO_SalesOrderHeader.m4t and I'm simply trying to put a value in a TEMP field and then use it as a conditional but my temp fields will not populate when I run the TEST of the import. I have two variables now; both are type STRING and one is set for ""assign on header only"" and another is set to ""Assign on key fields only"". Neither populates no matter what I try.

Have you tried to actually run the import, not just Test it?

That would be my first guess. I would run it to a test company to see. I was going to ask about the assign on key because that has been an issue for me in the past.

no it did not assign a value to the temp fields even on the actual import. I must be doing something stupid. I need to put it away for a while and come back to it tomorrow. I've used temp variables about a million times before. If I go away for a while and look at it again I'm sure I'll see whatever silly thing I'm doing wrong.

Did you select the clear on each new record option?
