Team, I am zeroing in on our new hotel for MOTM 2017. I believe I have found our hotel and you all are going to be very please with my selection, The name of the Hotel is the Hilton San Diego Resort. It has everything we need. Moira and I toured the faculties last week and absolutely loved it . The conference center is awesome. No more problems with space. It isn't downtown but it is a very easy Ride from the airport. I am in the process of negotiating the rate. My plan is that we will be about the same size as last year with some room for growth. I believe the rate will be comparable to last year's but with a much nicer hotel. and Plenty of Conference room space.

also I think we need to change things up on the Friday night Cruise and do something different. I know that it is our most popular event but I think I have a replacement equally as fun... The hotel is on the beach so I am investigating having a full on Luau on the beach. . We are still in Preliminary stages but I have some ideas to knock your socks off. I am in the process of putting together a budget so we can vote on it and lock things down. Thoughts????

Hilton can provide coupons @ $15 per person . so we can either give away them or have people purchase them. We just need to decide. It is a much nicer breakfast setup.** Room guarantees - # ? **I am planning on the same guarantee as last year plus 10 %. with a 20% attrition** Minimum food/beverage? **Right now it is $20,000 which shouldn't be an issue. Thursday night's meet and greet and the Lunches on Friday and Saturday are close to 17K not to mention the Meeting rooms and AV stuff. When you throw in the Luau we will be will over $30K** Probably not decided yet but would there be an area for exhibit space (likely tables)? **OMG.. they have 18,000 SQ Ft. I would like to see us budget for a full hot breakfast each morning for all attendees. Remember how people went crazy when Sage cut back to continental breakfast for a year at Visions... I liked giving people (affiliates) an opportunity to introduce themselves. I think it would be nice if there was a place for them to have an individual table. Perhaps signage at the Luau.

ALL doable!!! especially at $30 (2 days worth) a person and based on consumption (charged for what we use) I think we can definitely include it.. I Think it is a good suggestion.

I trust you completely too, Jim....... but I trust the numbers after seeing them in a spreadsheet. MOTM 2016 (and the seminar) was a great time for everyone and I was left wondering how Jim would EVER top it. I have stopped wondering!! Location is great. Beach looks great, the allure of a ""spa"" is intriguing, but how will I explain this to my wife??? Honey, this is a WORK trip!!! Meals could be two, but I think three meals (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) would be more enticing from a negotiation standpoint. Go for it Jim.

Jim, I'm with Therese and Jeff. We're good to go with your judgement. Plus, if it goes to shit, we can blame you.

But of course, I still want to see the spreadsheet.....
