  • 1.  Tax Summary wrong after migrating after 1st payroll of 2020.

    Hi
Customer is on 2019 with 2.20 payroll.  We migrated/converted after the 1st payroll of 2020.  Some employees have already hit the SS Limit which is what brought this to the surface.
The Tax Summary shows the correct Gross Wages, Withholding Wages, Employee SS Wages, Employee Medicare Wages and Employee Taxes.  However, Employer SS Wages & Employer Medicare Wages and applicable Employer Taxes are missing the 1st payroll numbers.
Subsequently SS is still being calculated and it's calculating based on the incorrect Employer SS Wages, even though Employee SS Wages are correct.
I looked at an employee that hasn't even come close to the limit and it is the same issue.
This could be ugly for all mid year conversions.  Any one else come across this?
I realize I can fix it all in Tax Summary, but hoping there is another fix available?
    Would this be importable information?

Nevermind - realized after talking with a coworker, this customer was not calculating Employer SS/Medicare/State Unemployment in their old version (I know, dumb and who knows why they did that!).  So not a system conversion problem, but rather a End User Problem.
