Be careful in that using the tax profile it will apply to all earnings codes.
But I do like that concept. By being selective with the tax profile and the lines it is applied to you can correct just about any screw up.

To achieve this you can create a Tax Profile, turning off those taxes that should not be calculated/withheld. In the Tax Group Details you simply uncheck those taxes that shouldn't be included. The Tax Profile will need to be assigned to the Employee in Employee Maintenance to allow it to be selected for the earnings code during the payroll cycle.
