Seeing a new error on any Payroll that was updated with Covid-19 (tried 3 so far). When you run the Payroll Status Check it says there is an error in the Tax Profile, You click on the detail and it says "Tax Profile not current with CLAD data". Sage KB 93152 tells you how to fix the error, you need to click on the Hammer (fix button) next to the message. However when you go back to Tax Profile Maintenance there are several new FMED and FSOC lines added and they are not selected. Anyone else seeing these and do they need to be selected?.

Just noticed that this only seems to be happening on Tax Profile Z CA

Those are not limited to the "Z" profiles on my client's system. I went ahead and checked all the federal boxes since they were all checked before the update.  Hopefully excess taxes won't be calculated, but really don't see how to check to see if there will be unintended consequences for this.

I do not believe these are related to the PR tax updates.  Check with your CPA to verify as I am not in the business of giving tax advice.

I thought someone (Linda Code, MOTM 2019) said not to use the Z codes as they were there for testing purposes.

@Jeff Schwenk I have been using the Z profiles for all my PR customers since Payroll went to framework. I had no clue that we were not supposed to use them. You would think they would advertise it better than "Linda said". A warning message would be nice. Do I need to go back and change everyone's setup?

If you are using them and nothing bad is happening, then continue to use them.  MOTM 2019 (if that is where I heard it) was a long time ago in a world far away.  Could be a figment of my imagination as well.

I sent a note off to my source at Sage.  The response was "Those are "sample" we setup just to show people how they might go about setting up certain tax profiles. We tell you not to use them as they weren't fully researched and might not reflect the exact situation you are looking for"

So it appears that you can use them, but your mileage may vary.
