@Wayne Schulz I either forgot or never knew that there was a workstation installation piece to Avalara. I did not run the register_for_com.bat on the workstation because by the time I saw your post the issue was resolved. I am not sure how it got resolved, but it is working now. Here is what was done: 1. Tried entering an invoice in Sage 100 that is installed on the server. That worked. 2. Re-booted the user's workstation twice and logged in as the user and logged into Sage 100 as the user and the error appeared. 3. The user changed computers, logged into Sage 100 as herself and the error did not appear. 4. Logged into the user's computer with another user's Sage 100 logon and the error did not appear. 5. Had the original user log in again and the error mysteriously disappeared.
I wonder if there were Windows updates or something else being installed that was somehow blocking the Avatax communication. If this happens again, I will run register_for_com.bat first and hope that solves it.
